In February of 2025, after eight wonderful years at 1535 S. 8th Street, we have moved one mile away to a larger space next to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery at 2727 S. 12th Street, South Soulard.
We share an entrance with our sister store, Antagonist Cafe.
FAQs:
What does the new location look like? The new building is an art deco masterpiece built in 1937 by the same architect who designed the Soulard Farmer's Market. It served as a police station and EMS hub until the 1990s when it was sold to a private owner who utilized it, in part, as an art gallery and wedding venue for nearly three decades. Because the building once served as a police station, four rehabbed cells (which we call vaults) have been renovated into comfortable unique gaming spaces. The vaults can be pre-reserved by filling out the form under “Private Room/Host Event” on our website. Pieces will share an entrance with its sister store, Antagonist Cafe.
What's the parking like? Unlike our first location, we now have FREE street parking. NO meters! There is a lot across the street owned by Anheuser-Busch, but we can’t gain access to it. A parking map is available by scrolling to the bottom of this page.
Do you have private rooms? Yes! The vaults (our private spaces) can be pre-reserved by filling out the form under “Private Room/Host Event” on our website. Our special events manager will email you back within two days of receipt!
Do you have to pay to play games? If you’re just popping in to eat and drink and not play games, we function like a normal restaurant and bar and will not be charged a gaming fee (just be sure to tell your server you’re not playing games). However, if you want to play games, there is a $3 gaming fee per person to access our 1200+ library. You can play as many games as you would like. The gaming fee is similar to purchasing a movie ticket. We use all of our library fees to buy new games, replace missing pieces, refurbish damaged boards, and to assist with the labor of training staff to learn rulebooks so we can help you play games with more ease!
Note: Tuesday night is FREE GAMING!
